DWA doesn't display correctly on some machines

Hi,

We routinely use DOORS Web Access for users who review DOORS material. For a small number of them it doesn't display properly. The left side correctly shows the database explorer. The right side shows attributes. But the center never shows the module view, no matter how many double clicks or opens are tried on modules or views.

We tried to isolate what was happening. One of the users tried on two different machines. On the second machine it worked properly. The browsers on the two machines are the same application and build. What else could be causing the issue?

Thanks,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

just a guess: compatibility settings of Internet Explorer?

Regards,
Mike

Thank you for the suggestion, Mike. I didn't know about those. Unfortunately, when the user accessed the compatibility settings dialog box while displaying DWA it was all grayed out. Also, the compatibility icon is not present in the address bar. Any other thoughts?

Daniel

Found the problem, kind of. The user this was happening to uses Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice recognition. The browser add-ins to allow the voice recognition to work with webpages was somehow causing the problem. When the add-ins were disabled DOORS Web access worked fine (although then they couldn't use their voice recognition).
